Terminator Salvation 2009 Movie Review

I watched Terminator Salvation 2009 movie yesterday thinking that i’ll go out of the movie house satisfied but it was a mistake! No one ever warned me to buy myself a depressant! :D

Kidding aside, Termination Salvation 2009 is an action-packed movie with amazing cinematography and sound effects. The prequels of Terminator under Arnold Schwarzenegger were “then” magnificent. But the movie franchise seems to be getting more and more exciting as the movie crews never stops thinking how to reinvent what futuristic films should be.

I’m giving this film 7.5 from 1-10 rating where 10 being the highest. I’d like to see more of Sam Worthington’s performance in the next sequel. He was kind of restricted. Probably because of the kind of character he was tasked to portray. Christian Bale is just getting better and better. Nevertheless, the movie is fine and I recommend that you all watched it.

Truth Behind JBL Hospital Has Confirmed Patient Infected with Influenza AH1N1 Virus

I received almost 10 text messages saying that Jose B. Lingad (JBL) Memorial Hospital in San Fernando City, Pampanga (Philippines) has one confirmeed case of AH1N1 virus. This news made me unable to sleep last night. The text message even point to the Department of Health website’s Influenza A (H1N1) Broadsheet Advocacy section. I visited the site but there’s nothing in there for JBL. I think that this is just a plain hoax/scam.

People sometimes do not think about the implications of their actions. More so with the psychological effect of driving people to panic for somethng that isn’t true. I believe that they should track cellphone users who are perpetrators of fabricated news especially in serious cases like the influenza AH1N1 Virus.

I still hope that the Philippines will stay free from this virus although they already confirmed a few who. The people who were identified to having the virus are now in stable condition. I hope Mexico will get over it, soon, as well. Let’s all be safe by staying healthy.

Able Yet Disable: The Wonderful Castle Builder

When I was in Boracay, I saw this physically challenged man building sand castles on the shore.  In fact, he’s not alone. There are a lot of sand castle builders in Bora. These people builds wonderful sand castles in exchange of people’s donations while they take pictures with the sand castles.

Its saddens me when I see someone so talented but physically challenged. But then again, it helps me realize that they they managed to rise despite of their disadvantages and championing what is rightful and human while in the  midst of personal calamities. These people are great. Noble, indeed.

Tips on How To Protect Your Credit Report

Our credit report or credit history talks a lot about our financial status and more so our overall personality. Credit report speaks about how we spend our money and how responsible we are as citizens in our dealings with various business establishments such as banks, lending institutions, stores, etc.

Credit report is synonymous to our financial reputation – a credit reputation to be exact. It predicts the likelihood that we will be able to repay our debts and other forms of financial obligation. How we manage the money we have and settle our monthly financial obligations is one valid way to protecting our credit report or credit history.

Some simple tips to helping you avoid bad credit report, and improve your credit history:

  • Keep Credit Debt At Minimum. Manage your debts by making sure that you have enough left before the end of the month.
  • Don’t Close CC or CD accounts. Closing credit card and checking accounts damages your credit score.
  • Pay Your Bills On Time. Don’t let the day pass and make your bills fall no their due dates. Allot monthly budget to regularly pay your credit card bills and utilities.

These are not cut in stones and you’ll surely have something in mind that are more useful than the ones above. But these three tips will help you manage if not totally improve your credit score.

My Sister April and Her Daughter Avril

We were out last night with my mom and my sister April with her 3 year old daughter Avril, and two nephews Glenn and Kevin for a dinner at McDonalds. We had a great time. I took a few pictures and thought of posting some in here just so you would know how my sister and her baby looks like.

My niece and nephews enjoyed the dinner at McDonalds. The fastfood resto has a playground inside and this has added up to the overall enjoyment of the kids. I am starting to get envious that my siblings are starting to see their kids grow up…

Nokia 5130 for My Sister, April

For the past few months, I’ve noticed that my sister is showing a good progress on effectively applying all the things I taught her about using computers. I am impressed! :) And because of that, I just bought her the gadget she’s been requesting for: cellphone.

At first, I thought of giving her money to buy a cellphone instead but I think that she might not get the best deal. I tried going for cellphones below USD$100.00 but all of them operate like a crap. But the Nokia 5130 is affordable at USD120.00.  It came with 1 gig microSD card.  The memory is expandable, meaning, you can add more to the existing 1 gig memory should you decide to increase its storage potential. The Nokia 5130 is built for music so i’m definitely sure that my sister will really love this.

It has bluetooth technoloy to exchange data on a wireless environment. My SE phone has it so sending and receiving messages from each phone will never be a problem. What I don’t like about this product is the quality of its photos although its camera is already at its 2.0 megapixel. Sony Ericsson phones are still unbeatable when it comes to this area.

Boracay Pictures

I was up all day trying to figure out if I can share the pictures I have uploaded in Facebook to the rest of my blogmates without them being obliged to register. Apparently, Facebook doesn’t have that feature yet so I was forced to use my Multiply account instead to house all the photos I took during my trip to Boracay.

Visit my Multiply account to view all the pictures I took during my Boracay trip . The Philippines is very beautiful. I hope you guys gets the chance to visit our place. My next destination – Palawan!

Unfortunately, there were some pictures that are not supposed to be in there. They were taken during the celebration of International Book Day at Instituto Cervantes in Manila. Enjoy!

Kris Allen Wins American Idol!

The season 8 of American idol has ended with Kris Allen as its winner. This came as a shock to me because I was expecting Adam Lambert to win this contest.

I have nothing against Kris Allen given the fact that both of them have talents to share to the world but with the recent and past performances of both contestants, it made me feel that Adam is a rightful winner of this contest. But well, people already decided as to who deserves to win Amerian Idol Season 8.  But then again, congratulations to Kris Allen. And congratulations, too, to Adam Lambert for your sportmanship.

Finally, My PC Stopped Buzzing

I’ve been figuring out why my PC started generating weird noise for the past two years with no luck. I’m not a computer geek so that added up to my inability to find out what’s causing the noise. I initially thought that it was with the fan and I was right. LOL! But its more complicated than what you might have in mind.

Being naive in computers, I basically leave all matters concerning to computers to the experts. I do not have the luxury of time to work on scuh due to my busy schedules. But a friend of mine is determined to teach me some computer stuffs so that i’ll be able to fix my PC whenever I run into some minor technical problems which won’t require an expensive servicing fee of a computer technician.  The deal? A bottle of Carlo Rossi red wine. =D
