Never Give Your Password To Any Untrusted Sites

I just received a shocking news from my friend Jaypee about his Yahoo! e-mail and Paypal accounts were hacked. His Paypal money were withdrawn on a different credit card which the hacker apparently added on his account. Can you imagine that? He saw everything that the hacker did right on his very eyes!

Good thing he was online at that time. He immediately changed his Yahoo! e-mail password and contacted Paypal that they cancel the transaction which the hacker just made on his account. I was having a goosebumps while he was trying to explain what happened. It was really frightening.

After our conversation, I immediately went into my online e-mail accounts and changed my passwords including my Paypal account. I make sure that my e-mail account’s password are different from what I use in my social networking sites the same way that my Paypal account is different from my Gmail e-mail accounts. Now, I think I’m confused because almost every online portals I usually visit online all have unique passwords (smiles).

I’d like you to exercise caution in whatever you do online and make sure that you do not give your password to anyone. There are online portals which will ask you to allow access to some of your accounts. Always make sure to say NO and keep yourself away from that website. You’ll never know which of these websites are perpetrators of hacking and other unscrupulous activities. Terrible, really. The Internet is becoming very unsafe for many.
