Shakespeare’s famous Romeo and Juliet line “Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow” is so true. Its hard to leave people who have been part of your life especially if you’ve been with them for a very long time – 7 years.
At last, I am leaving my current job and pursue my Spanish language studies at Instituto Cervantes en Manila. I’ve long planned of leaving work and now that I am financially and emotionally ready to do it, I bid my colleagues goodbye and told them that my last day of work would be on the first week of January 2010.
Technically, writing is the bulk of my work in our company but it took me more than an hour to compose a three-paragraph resignation letter! I was totally at a loss for words and my spirit down in spite of my solid plans. This probably is rooted to how much attachment I have made already with my co-workers whom some I already considered friends.
I am hoping that this new journey signals the start of a new life for me and a way to achieve everything that I wish for in life. I once asked God for signs if this is the way I suppose to take, he responded with no hesitation and said YES! I’m not scaring you. I haven’t talked to Him yet, literally
