After much consideration, I have decided to take my photography hobby to a higher level. My friend and I were talking yesterday about chipping in to buy a rather entry-level camera from Nikon – the Nikon D3000.
We’ve been researching for the past few weeks, reading camera reviews and blog posts about people who are photography enthusiasts, too, and we’ve seen a great deal of information about what a certain camera has and what other, of almost the same specifications and price, doesn’t have. While it seems confusing for starters like us, I think that our plain judgment tells us that Nikon D3000 is the great choice in terms of price considerations and features that are familiar to us. We’ve compared it side-by-side with Canon RebelXS (1000D) and Nikon D60 and I think Nikon D3000 has all important features incorporated in it which you can see in the other two models its being compared with.
I almost bought it at one store in the mall yesterday and I thought I was getting a great deal because its original price is PhP34,000 (approx USD750 if $1=PhP45.00) and its marked down to PhP29,000 (approx SUD644 if $1=PhP45.00). Good thing I was quick in calling a friend who happened to be well-informed about the industry’s camera pricing. She discouraged me into buying cameras in-stores in malls because they tend to be overpriced. Instead, she told me to come to Manila and buy the camera there instead.
I’m very excited to buy my Nikon D3000! As soon as I got it, I’ll surely let you know on this blog and tell you what I think about it. Any thoughts from Nikon D3000 users?
