SM City Pampanga Grand Wifi Launch

Last week, Jaypee of Jaytography and I spent the weekend SM Pampanga and participated in the blogging event conducted by the mall for its official mall-wide introduction of free Wi-Fi connection.

I had a pretty good time there. We didn’t win but we enjoyed the fun of being able to meet other people who shares the same interest as we do. Let me share some of the pictures I took at the event.

Lock&Lock Seasoning Case Review

Lock&Lock Seasoning Case
Lock&Lock Seasoning Case

I love Lock&Lock brand and those who have used it before will definitely agree with me that its has surpassed the glory of Tupperware.

But one item that really frustrated me was the Lock&Lock Seasoning Case I bought a few weeks ago. This Lock&Lock Seasoning Case was supposed to be tight-lock and should not spill nor there be an entry point for insects like ants. It was my intention why I bought the product anyway. We were experiencing ant infestation at home for our condiments that’s why I bought them.

Truly, there are some products that have faulty design or won’t work as designed like Lock&Lock Seasoning Case. The rear neck portion allowed entry for sugar ants (a type of ants with bothering smell; smaller than regular red ant). I bought Lock&Lock Seasoning Case at SM Clark. I am still thinking if I’ll bring it back due to my tight schedule.

Should you buy this product? NO.

Its has pretty good luck but it has faulty design. It should improve in the future. This review does not intend to discredit Lock&Lock but the public should know that this particular product (not the entire brand itself) is not a good investment.

LG Cookie Review

I was looking for a more affordable touchscreen devise for a couple of weeks and I stumbled on LG KP500 or more commonly known as LG Cookie. LG has invested a lot on advertising on this product and this made me researched more about it and even went to the mall just to check this out.

In the mall, there I asked for the gadget and see what’s inside. I have it opened and asked the sales lady to turn it on so I could try it out. These are my observations.

Pros

  • Lightweight.
  • Affordable. Its 300% cheaper than the regular iPhone in the market.
  • Sleek design
  • Large display.  Three (3) inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT)  display.

Cons

  • Less-sensitive touchscreen
  • Not-so-nice camera. LG Cookie’s 3.2 camera does not have autofocus. I can’t seem to make it work, too.
  • No Wi-Fi capability.

Now my question is to my self is: should you buy LG Cookie? My answer is NO. I am not buying a gadget without a Wi-Fi capability. LG cookie is nice its just that, it defeats the purpose of having a wide screen gadget but not being able to use it for surfing and email.

Facebook Brings Payment System OnBoard

The recent move of the popular social networking site, Facebook, to launch an internal payment system  is a clear sign that  such companies are starting to see the profitability of earning from in-site product and services offering.

I have a positive look at how Facebook will be able to handle such challenging financial business but what really amazed me is the strategy which were possibly thought of years ago even before social networks even became popular. They probably have foreseen that websites such as these is a sure profit-driver even when its not reliant on advertising.

Facebook currently has 30 million registered users and counting. I like Facebook a lot better than any other social networks around. What I like about Facebook is that it has a pretty cool,  neat, and stable layout. It seldom freezes and the entire screen won’t refresh when you have to leave a message on the homepage or at someone else’s profile. No other social network has ever come closer to what Facebook has achieved so far. Kudos to Facebook!

Tips on How To Protect Your Credit Report

Our credit report or credit history talks a lot about our financial status and more so our overall personality. Credit report speaks about how we spend our money and how responsible we are as citizens in our dealings with various business establishments such as banks, lending institutions, stores, etc.

Credit report is synonymous to our financial reputation – a credit reputation to be exact. It predicts the likelihood that we will be able to repay our debts and other forms of financial obligation. How we manage the money we have and settle our monthly financial obligations is one valid way to protecting our credit report or credit history.

Some simple tips to helping you avoid bad credit report, and improve your credit history:

  • Keep Credit Debt At Minimum. Manage your debts by making sure that you have enough left before the end of the month.
  • Don’t Close CC or CD accounts. Closing credit card and checking accounts damages your credit score.
  • Pay Your Bills On Time. Don’t let the day pass and make your bills fall no their due dates. Allot monthly budget to regularly pay your credit card bills and utilities.

These are not cut in stones and you’ll surely have something in mind that are more useful than the ones above. But these three tips will help you manage if not totally improve your credit score.

Marrying Blogging and Marketing

Business are starting to realize the importance of blogging and other social media in order to promote their product. I think that the recent discovery of topic conversation in blog and the man benefit it provides to businesses and consumers at the same time are starting to revolutionize how we a certain product from three different perspective and three different sources: the blogger, the commenter, and the business (the one being talked about).

Blogging does not end from posting your idea alone. Without an audience, your blog is equal to nothing and your voice will never be heard in the world wide web. Blogging is equal to marketing in the sense that, the product you’re blogging increases its visibility in the net. Its also benefiting the blogger in a way that his reputation as an outright and honest opinion-giver for products he or she uses.

Opinion is important. People understands the value of what people have to say about a certain product so that they will be able to make an informed decision to any product they plan on buying.

Sony Ericsson k810i Product Review

Sony Ericsson k810

Sony Ericsson k810

When it comes to cellphones, I trust Sony Ericsson the most. When Sony Ericsson began introducing the K series, I told myself that I will own one of them. And I did. I bought the Sony Ericsson K810i model. This one is pretty identical to Sony Ericsson K800.

If you’re asking me for one reason why you would love this phone I only have one answer – the camera. The Sony Ericsson k810i camera has the best resolution with its 3.2 megapixel cybershot camera.  There is nothing like it in the market. LG’s 5 megapixel camera doesn’t seem to even get closer to what SE k81oi has accomplished in this gadget.

The only thing I don’t like about this phone is that there are mobile gadgets that doesn’t seem to work or are not compatible with the most mobile devices on the web. Nokia is practically compatible with almost every devices you know there is. SE should probably work on that aspect.
