This is probably one of the overstated and age-old question of all time. But do we really have an answer to this or even a suggestion? I think not. No one has ever gone close to that level I believe.
Probably part of the reason is that most of think of ideal people and ideal situation when such never really exist. If we can only control everything, I believe that all women (and even men for that matter) would have become a perfect wife or a perfect husband.
Be yourself and love the person you are and be your best. No one has ever successfully set the standard for a perfect wife so feel free to set your own.
